Founded in Ireland in 1965, Kingspan is the global leader in advanced insulation and building envelope solutions. Their mission is to accelerate a net zero emissions future with the wellbeing of people and planet at its heart. The company are split into several divisions: insulated panels, insulation, data and flooring solutions (Cradle to Cradle Certified®), roofing and waterproofing, and light, air and water management solutions. Today, Kingspan operate in over 80 countries worldwide, employing 22,000 employees across 212 manufacturing sites. Some of Kingspan’s most notable projects include: the British Sugar Headquarters, the Aviva Stadium and Microsoft Ireland.

Kingspan’s products and solutions enable circular, decarbonised buildings that are thermally efficient, enhance occupant wellbeing and utilise natural resources for renerable energy. Theis focua on sustainability is emphasised by their ‘Planet Passionate’ programme. This contains ambitious and measurable targets for energy, carbon, circularity and water management. Planet Passionate contains four pillars- net zero carbon manufacturing by 2030, 60% direct renewable energy and 20% generated on site,1 billion PET bottles recycled by 2025 and zero waste to landfill. Furthermore, Kingspan operate a Take-Back scheme, which allows used flooring panels to be recyled and reused, saving approximately 2500 megawatt-hours of energy per year.

Kingspan also focus heavily on innovation. Their Global Innovation Centre (IKON) opened in 2019 and has since been awarded a Green Design award. IKON fosters rapid prototyping across materials and technology, showing their commitment to cutting edge innovation as well as sustainability.
