Tennants Building Products in conjunction with Gyproc-Isover was proud to sponsor the recent SkillBuild NI Regional Qualifier Competition 2026, hosted by Construction Industry Training Board NI in partnership with Southern Regional College.
Held at Southern Regional College’s Greenbank Campus in Newry, the competition brought together more than 100 apprentices and trainees from across Northern Ireland to compete in a range of construction disciplines including drylining, plastering, joinery, carpentry, electrical installation and painting & decorating.
The event showcased the high level of talent, technical ability and professionalism emerging across the construction sector and highlighted the importance of supporting skills development within the industry.
As a business working closely with contractors, installers and construction professionals across the UK and Ireland, Tennants Building Products recognises the vital role apprenticeships and technical training play in developing the future workforce.
